The importance of being organised
/Being organised is becoming a trend. Thanks to the recent Netflix shows, our profession is slowly gaining awareness and people in general are starting to be aware that less is more.
But why is being organised so important? And what does it mean? What is the domain of organisation?
In order to be organised it is important to keep track of your belongings, your space and especially your mental health.
Being organised is not just putting stuff in pretty ratan baskets.
Being organised is having a strategy, a system to streamline processes, a place for everything and the awareness of building new habits, otherwise things revert into a mess again in no time. You can be organised in any space in your home, in your office and play environment, in your routine, your laundry schedule, your meal plans, kid’s summer holidays. Basically anything.
Over time, I personally found that being organised can bring tons of benefits in your life.
First of all, it improves your mental health, at least, it improved mine for sure.
Outer chaos=inner chaos. Having a cleared and clean environment around can help you to focus on what you really need to focus on and can boost your energy and productivity.
I personally had a little bit of compulsive cleaning disorder once upon a time but having a cleaning routine and a strategy helped me to clean less and spend more valuable time on other things so…believe it or not…being organised can actually help you to clean LESS!
And last but not least, being organised can help you SAVE MONEY! YES! Being Organized Means More Money.
Have you ever had to re-purchase an item you know you have, but just can’t find? It’s a waste of money, and it’s a waste of time. One major advantage of being organised is knowing what you have and being able to find it when you need it.Another trick to “earn” money with organisation is selling items you declutter during the organising process! Or simply locate easily the receipts of items that need to be returned in store.
To sum it up, being organised can really help you take control of your time and belongings instead of letting them control you. Taking control of your things and time is a vital part of stress management and managing your stress effectively, of course, improves overall wellbeing. Once you begin to clear clutter and put organising systems in place, you’ll feel lighter and more in control of your life.
That peace of mind you’ve been craving can finally be realised and you can live a happier life :)
